Bills Hope Scenery Change Will Light Joey Bosa ‘Fire’

The Buffalo Bills have had quite the offseason. A host of key players have re-signed, and some solid free agents have walked through the doors.

Josh Palmer and Joey Bosa were signed to give both sides of the ball some extra juice with Palmer seen as the speedy option out wide, while Bosa will bring some much-needed bite to the defensive line.

But while Palmer has been a solid contributor over the past four seasons, for Bosa, the last three seasons have been riddled with injuries, managing just 27 games.

So how will the Bills get the most out of Bosa? For head coach Sean McDermott, simply being in a fresh, new environment could do just the trick.

"He's been in one place for give or take nine years, and sometimes that can bode well for kind of just kind of re-stoking the competitive fire and the juices," McDermott said.

Bosa was a force of nature early in his career, posting 10+ sacks in three of his first four years, but over the last few seasons, the injury bug has bitten him hard.

To the point where a one-year, $12 million contract was his value in free agency.

Now, looking to reignite his career with the Bills, Bosa will look to add some firepower to a defense that struggled to get after Patrick Mahomes in the AFC Championship game, and some think that is the reason for the loss.

But Bosa must stay out of the treatment room. If he does, in a new environment, there's every chance he could emerge as a solid defensive piece for a Bills unit that needs to add more bite to its bark.
