Dez Bryant Wins Huge March Madness Bet, Rips ‘Poverty’ Cowboys

FRISCO - Nobody scored more receiving touchdowns in Dallas Cowboys' history than Dez Bryant. And now the former All-Pro is bragging about another big score, this one from a wild March Madness wager.

In between commenting on seemingly every move from his former team, these days Dez apparently loves to place a bet or two. Or, in this case, eight.

Bryant shared on his social the risky $4,000, eight-leg parlay he made last weekend. He bet five women's college basketball games and three men's games and wound winning them all. His reward: $62,674.72.

"If it's all green, you know what it means!" Bryant posted.

The big hit will soothe some of the pain from Dez's recent wagers, one of which he said was a $100,000 loss on Missouri getting upset by Drake in the first round of the men's tournament.

Bryant, 36, is third on the Cowboys' all-time list in catches, fifth in yards and No. 1 with 73 career receiving touchdowns, one ahead of future Hall-of-Fame tight end Jason Witten.

Despite the winning wager, he isn't entirely thrilled this week. Bryant is among the many Cowboys fans disillusioned by the team's overall direction and, specifically, the hiring of head coach Brian Schottenheimer.

"I would've gone Ben Johnson," he said recently. "I would've even gone Prime (Deion Sanders. But with Jerry Jones, there's no way they would've gone after somebody like Prime, too big of a personality.

"It feels like everybody is in a comfort zone, and that's not what we need. We got the biggest franchise in sports, and we're acting like we're this poverty franchise for whatever reason. I think they're rebuilding, and it sucks. I don't like the energy, I don't like what's going on in the Cowboys organization. We want to win. I'm speaking on behalf of the fans, what's going on?"
