Manchester City and Chelsea players are set for a long summer as they prepare to take part in the Club World Cup at the end of this season.
The 32-team competition, which is set to take place in the US, will start on 15 June and end on 13 July.
The overall prize fund will be worth £775million, with £407million divided between all the clubs taking part and £368million awarded on a performance-related basis.
European clubs will earn more for taking part than teams from other continents as the money awarded for participation is based on sporting and commercial criteria.
Former Man City financial adviser Stefan Borson exclusively told Football Insider the Premier League sides will be in negotiations with their players about a bonus structure for the competition.
Borson previously told Football Insider Man City and Chelsea have a “big” advantage over their top-flight rivals due to the money on offer from the Club World Cup.

Man City and Chelsea stars face injury blow
Borson insisted the Club World Cup is “dangerous” for the players taking part as they are at an increased risk of suffering an injury.
He told Football Insider: “One of the issues is bonuses.
“Most of these player contracts will not specifically envisage Club World Cup qualification. I would think right now most of these teams are in negotiation as to what the bonus structure looks like.
“They will be doing that mindful of what the clubs are getting because the players are saying ‘Right, we’re going to effectively give up most of our summer for this’.
“This tournament is being held in the time when ordinarily the players would be on holiday. We know that players don’t get long holidays, but this is the time they would be.
“They do the international game in the early part of June, which I think is still going ahead ridiculously, and then ordinarily what they would do if they didn’t have a tournament in a tournament off year like this is they would go off and they’d come back for pre-season training in mid-July.
“What’s happening here is that the whole of mid-June to mid-July is now a tournament, so that’s a big sacrifice for the players. I think it’s dangerous for the players in terms of physical exertion.
“They are going to suffer more injuries you would think in the next season or so, and they are going to want some compensation for that as part of this bonus structure that’s going to come from the tournament.
“I think on top of that, the clubs will want to incentivise people properly for this tournament for their club to capture those latter-stage payments.”

Mateo Kovacic among six Man City stars to leave
Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insider Mateo Kovacic could be among six stars to leave Man City in the summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old is no longer believed to be in Pep Guardiola’s long-term plans after struggling to impress in Rodri’s absence.
Man City are understood to be targeting signing a new midfielder this summer as speculation continues around the futures of Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva.
