PALM BEACH, Florida — The NFL’s team owners gave the tush push an at least temporary reprieve Tuesday while voting to move the touchback spot on kickoffs, expand the scope of the replay-assist system and modify the regular season overtime format to more closely resemble the postseason version.
The owners, as they completed the annual league meeting at a Palm Beach resort, also delayed action on a proposal that would allow a wild-card playoff team with a better record to be seeded ahead of a division winner.
