Diogo Dalot's agent has vowed that the defender "will do everything possible" to help Manchester United succeed under Ruben Amorim.

Dalot has been a regular fixture under his fellow countryman since he succeeded Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford back in November, racking up 27 appearances across all competitions. He has made 45 appearances so far this season in total.

Boasting a very impressive reliability record, Dalot has not missed a single game through injury this season, meaning he is a dependable figure Amorim can rely on. He has operated at both right wing-back and left wing-back under the former Sporting Lisbon boss.

And according to Dalot's agent, Carlos Goncalves, United are "very happy" with the 26-year-old's performances, adding that Dalot is motivated to help the club thrive under Amorim's leadership.

"Because of Diogo's way of being, his way of working, his mentality of always being professional, he has earned his place," said Goncalves, as quoted by Record.

"Not only at Manchester United, which is one of the best clubs in the world, regardless of the current situation, but also in the national team.

"He recently renewed his contract, a sign that Manchester United are still very happy with Diogo's performances. And he will do everything possible to help the club and in this case coach Ruben Amorim.

"It's always good when you have quality coaches like Jose Mourinho at United and now Amorim. But when someone signs with a club, they don't sign with the coach, they sign with the club."

Dalot joined United from FC Porto in 2018 and has been one of the club's most reliable performers in recent seasons. It is a little over two years since he last missed out on a place in the matchday squad because of an injury.
