MANCHESTER UNITED travel to the Midlands to take on Nottingham Forest at The City Ground.
Forest have already enjoyed themselves upon the return of domestic football, qualifying for the FA Cup semi-final after beating Brighton on penalties.
For United, this is their return to domestic football, so they may need to shake off the cobwebs quickly against an in-form Nottingham Forest side.
The Red Devils are aiming to narrow a seven-point gap to the top half of the Premier League, whereas Forest are aiming to solidify their claim to Champions League football next season.

In January 1990, Sir Alex Ferguson famously went to The City Ground in the FA Cup needing a win to stay in his job. He got it, and the rest of that story writes itself.
More recently, Forest have won two of their last three against Manchester United and beat them 3-2 at Old Trafford last September. But United did win on their last trip to The City Ground, in the FA Cup Fifth Round last February, and it is also worth remembering that prior to these last three games United had won the last eleven in a row, a record stretching back to 1995/96.

Whilst one of these teams may be repeating the glory days, the other merely reminisces in it nowadays.
Forest are fresh off an FA Cup quarter-final triumph against Brighton, and return to league action with intention to close off a place in Europe’s elite club competition.
On the other hand, United are in a state of purgatory where the odd win still feels valuable in a season of dismay, but not as much as what a victory run in the Europa League would be for Ruben Amorim and the wider club, especially their finances.
