There is no true consensus on what new Tennessee Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi will do with the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Former NFL linebacker and current FS1 analyst Emmanuel Acho thinks that the Titans should draft Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders and make his father, Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, the head coach.
"I'm taking Shedeur Sanders (with the No. 1 pick)," said Acho. "I would take Shedeur Sanders to make sure that I have the first stab at getting Deion Sanders as my next head coach in Tennessee. ... If you get Shedeur and you get Prime (Deion Sanders), you completely revolutionize the whole NFL as it pertains to the Tennesee Titans."
The Titans have kept their intentions with the first pick a mystery for the majority of this offseason, however, they appear to be trending toward taking Miami quarterback Cam Ward. The team desperately needs an upgrade at quarterback, and most perceive Ward as the best in the class, not Sanders.
Sanders still had plenty of success last season at Colorado, winning the Big 12 Conference Offensive Player of the Year Award after throwing for 4,134 yards and scoring 41 total touchdowns. Many think that he will be a great player but they worry about him and his father's relationship and what it says about his maturity level. Acho does not share this fear, as he would encourage Tennessee to welcome the Sanders show and all that it entails.
