Five changes in the Man City predicted lineup vs Leicester City as Erling Haaland injury sparks …

Pep Guardiola has some decisions to make ahead of Man City’s Premier League clash against Leicester City on Wednesday night.

Manchester City are back in Premier League action on Wednesday night after their 2-1 win over Bournemouth in the FA Cup on Sunday.

Erling Haaland and Omar Marmoush scored as Pep Guardiola’s side came from behind to beat Bournemouth who put up a very tough test, with City once again nowhere near their best.

Nico O’Reilly shone for Man City against Bournemouth and he may be a nailed on name for the bench on Wednesday night. He’s only featured twice in the Premier League this season.

Of course, the big bit of news for Man City is that Haaland is sidelined. Haaland picked up an injury against Bournemouth and after an anxious wait, it’s since been revealed that Haaland is out for up to seven weeks.

Pep hopes to have Haaland back before seven weeks in time for the end of the season and then the Club World Cup.

Man City team news vs Leicester City as Erling Haaland sidelined

Haaland obviously wont be featuring in this one. And he joined a number of other Man City players who are sidelined right now, with varying lengths of injuries.

It’s in defence where Pep is lacking the most with Nathan Ake, John Stones, and Manuel Akanji all sidelined and not looking to be particularly close to returning either.

Rodri also remains sidelined for Man City, but Pep would’ve been glad to see both Ederson and Josko Gvardiol make it through the game against Bournemouth despite both having injury issues before the match.

Predicted Man City lineup vs Bournemouth as Phil Foden returns

Haaland’s injury is of course going to spur a number of changes in the side with no one name really standing out to step into that no.9 role, and fill the void that Haaland undoubtedly leaves.

Pep was cautious to reveal exactly how he’s replace Haaland in his Tuesday presser, though the likeliest option is to deploy Marmoush in that role and then deploy Phil Foden as a no.10.

Then with a game against man United on Sunday, Pep may be keen to rest one or two players for what should be a straight-forward game against the Foxes: Kovacic for Nico, and maybe Jack Grealish for Kevin De Bruyne could be a couple of sensible changes.

Meanwhile in defence, expect little movement, though one change could be Rico Lewis coming in for the ever-divisive Matheus Nunes.

Here’s how we think Man City will line up against Leicester City on Wednesday night…
