Andoni Iraola is looking increasingly likely to replace Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham.
After an official statement from Daniel Levy, it looks as though Postecoglou will need to win the UEFA Europa League if he is to have any chance of keeping his job.
However, even if the Australian does end Spurs’ 17-year trophy drought, it is believed that Levy might still sack the Tottenham manager.
Therefore, that would leave the North London club once again searching for a new head coach, and it is looking more and more likely that Bournemouth’s Iraola would be the man to take over from Postecoglou.

Iraola ‘ready to join Tottenham’ amid £10m Bournemouth exit news
As reported by The Athletic on Thursday (27 March), Iraola is the number one target at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with Postecoglou’s future in “serious” doubt.

Iraola has a £10million release clause in his Bournemouth contract, which isn’t expected to be a problem for Tottenham.
And Lilywhite Rose owner John Wenham – speaking exclusively to Tottenham News – believes Iraola would accept the job if it were offered to him.
“It seems quite clear that Iraola is the first choice at Tottenham,” Wenham said.

“I think, based on what is being reported, Iraola would be happy to join Tottenham. There is that £10m release clause. However, I always find it strange when clubs are reluctant to pay those clauses.
“These same clubs waste many millions on wages, agents and transfer fees, and for me, a manager is just as important, if not more important, than the players on the pitch.”

Iraola would be a good replacement for Postecoglou at Tottenham
It seems as though Spurs are willing to pay the £10m required to bring Iraola to North London.
Therefore, if Postecoglou is sacked, which is looking incredibly likely, it seems as though the Spaniard could be appointed swiftly after.
As long as Spurs pay the £10m, and Iraola agrees to the move, it doesn’t seem as though there is much that the Cherries can do to prevent anything from happening.
