Five players suspended for Pistons-Timberwolves brawl

DETROIT (WILX) - The NBA has handed down suspensions stemming from an on-court scuffle between Detroit Pistons and Minnesota Timberwolves players on Sunday night at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

Three Pistons players and two Wolves players received suspensions.

From Detroit, Isaiah Stewart received a two-game suspension. Ron Holland and Marcus Sasser were each suspended for one game.

From Minnesota, Donte DiVincenzo and Naz Reid were each suspended for one game.

The NBA stated Stewart received a longer suspension “based in part on his repeated history of unsportsmanlike acts.”

Stewart will start serving his suspension, and Holland and Sasser will serve theirs when the Pistons play the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night.
