Green Bay Packers Again Connected To Dynamic Playmaker in 2025 NFL Draft

Brian Gutekunst and the Green Bay Packers are making their preparations for the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft. With the first round set to begin on April 24, there are a lot of questions about what direction the Packers could choose to go with the No. 23 overall pick.

Some believe that Green Bay will target the defensive side of the football. Usually, the Packers go either defense or offensive line. That has been a fairly common trend in recent years.

However, there are others who are holding out hope that Green Bay could look to improve the offense around quarterback Jordan Love. Bringing in a playmaker at the wide receiver position is something that fans badly want to see the Packers do.

With that in mind, a new prediction has been made for Green Bay that would bring in more offensive talent.

Green Bay Packers Again Connected To Dynamic Playmaker in 2025 NFL Draft

Vinnie Iyer of The Sporting News has predicted that the Packers will end up with Ohio State Buckeyes’ standout wide receiver Emeka Egbuka in the first round. That outcome would be exciting for the fan base.

“The Packers can break their mentality of not taking wide receivers in the first round to give Jordan Love a smooth, reliable, productive outside route-runner.”

Egbuka may never become a superstar. But, he is the kind of wide receiver that can get open. That is exactly what Green Bay needs.

During the 2024 college football season with Ohio State, Egbuka racked up 81 receptions for 1,011 yards and 10 touchdowns. He was a big part of leading the Buckeyes to a national championship win.

Joining forces with names like Romeo Doubs, Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, and Christian Watson would give the team an even more dangerous and talented wide receiver corps. There is no question that Love would be the big winner out of this potential pick.

It is going to be very interesting to see what the Packers choose to do at No. 23 overall. Egbuka would be tough to pass on if he’s still available.
