West Ham Graham Potter opted to start Luis Guilherme but this experiment hasn’t paid off in the first half against Wolves.
The Hammers faithful were largely excited when the team sheet emerged at Molineux on 1 April, but it is fair to say it hasn’t been successful.
The away side have gone in at the break 1-0 down thanks to 21st minute strike from Jorgen Strand Larsen which deflected in off Max Kilman.
This was nothing less than Vitor Pereira’s side deserved, which could prompt Potter into making a much-needed change during the interval.

Potter must bin Guilherme experiment v Wolves
It was certainly a surprise to see Guilherme come into the starting 11 for the first time since signing in E20 from Palmerias in the summer.

The 19-year-old was highly rated in Brazil but after just seven Premier League appearances as a substitute, there has been little to cling onto with the winger.
That doesn’t look likely to change in his first start as the teenager has been largely anonymous in the opening 45 minutes in the Black Country.
This has been partially down to the Hammers’ struggles to have any meaningful possession of the ball against a Wolves side without Matheus Cunha.
With that being said, an alteration in midfield for Potter could prove to be a wise move to help the Irons get a foothold on the game against the Old Gold.

Soucek could replace Guilherme for West Ham v Wolves
The young Brazilian has failed to deal with the physicality of the home side and that could be rectified by the introduction of Soucek from the bench.
The Czechia international would provide the physicality and aerial presence that could help the side in claret and blue get on the ball more effectively.

Under Potter, the 30-year-old has been a positive force in all areas and could once again prove his worth as a substitute at Molineux.
This would be harsh on Guilherme, who has been desperate for regular minutes for the Hammers, but ultimately, he hasn’t done enough to prove his worth.
It will be interesting to see if Potter is bold enough to make a change at the break and if the Irons can get back into the game.
