Denver International Airport (DIA) famously has a large statue of a blue mustang with bright red glowing eyes. It’s known locally as Blucifer and opinions of it are extreme either way. The artist who sculpted the statue, Luis Jimenez, was killed in 2006 when part of it fell on him, severing an artery leading to exsanguination in his studio.

Blucifer can only be seen from Pena Boulevard on the drive in or out of DIA.
