After leading the Oklahoma City Thunder to a 15-1 record in the month of March, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has solidified his MVP campaign as he now sits at -4000 odds to win the award. Due to this success, he has officially been named the Western Conference Player of the Month for the third time this season.
Along with leading the Thunder to a stellar record, he averaged 34.7 PPG, 4.3 RPG, and 7.4 APG through this stretch. In the Eastern conference, Chicago Bulls guard Coby White was named the Player of the Month after leading the team to a 9-6 record while averaging 27.7 PPG.

This is yet another accolade that is adding to Gilgeous-Alexander's MVP case as the race isn't even close at this point, with Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic sitting in second place at +1200 odds.
While Jokic has also had a great statistical season, averaging a 29.8 PPG triple-double, the Nuggets are too far behind the Thunder for Jokic to be ahead of Gilgeous-Alexander.
The Houston Rockets are the closest team in the Western Conference to Oklahoma City, and they sit 14.5 games back. Jokic and the Nuggets are currently third in the West and are 16 games behind the Thunder.
With seven games remaining for Oklahoma City, they have already locked down the No. 1 seed in the West, and have showed no signs of slowing down as they are on a 10-game winning-streak.
As they look onto the playoffs, they will try to replicate this success in the postseason, gearing up to play one of the play-in teams in the first round. They will have quite the advantage as the Minnesota Timberwolves are the seventh seed and are the closest to the Thunder in terms of record, but still trail by 20 games.
