The Oklahoma City Thunder have been on another level in the Western Conference this season. They currently sit at 63-12 and are the only team in the conference to clinch an NBA playoff spot thus far.
Much of that success can be attributed to guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who has four 50+ games this season.
In the month of March, in particular, he was dominant. While leading the Thunder to a 15-1 record, he averaged 34.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game.
As a result, the NBA announced Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as the Western Conference Player of the Month on Tuesday. The honor came as the NBA recognized Chicago Bulls guard Coby White as the Eastern Conference Player of the Month.
"The Kia NBA Players of the Month for March! #KiaPOTM," the league posted.

This is Gilgeous-Alexander's third Western Conference Player of the Month award this season. He previously won it for November and December.
Gilgeous-Alexander is in his seventh season in the NBA, having spent the last six with the Thunder. The former No. 11 overall pick out of Kentucky is now a strong favorite to win his first NBA MVP.
According to ESPN BET, Gilgeous-Alexander is currently listed at -4000 to take home the award, with Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic at +1200 and Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo at +10000.
The Thunder star leads the league in points per game with 32.8, and ranks 13th in assists per game with 6.4 as he heads into Tuesday night.
Gilgeous-Alexander and his teammates have seven games left before the NBA playoffs. Their next matchup is on Wednesday at home against the Detroit Pistons. Tip-off is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. ET.
