Tottenham Hotspur could be preparing for the return of former Managing Director Fabio Paratici.
The Italian executive resigned from his position in April 2023 after receiving a 30-month global ban from FIFA due to financial irregularities during his time at Juventus.
Despite his official departure, reports indicate that Paratici has continued to play a role behind the scenes at Spurs, fuelling speculation that a formal return could be on the horizon.
With chairman Daniel Levy reportedly considering reinstating him, his comeback could have a major impact on the club’s future.
It has been recently reported that Levy met with Paratici and even made an offer to him in order to bring him back. But these reports were dismissed by Matt Law.
John Wenham on Fabio Paratici’s potential return to Tottenham
Lilywhite Rose owner and club insider John Wenham has suggested that Paratici’s presence could be crucial in attracting a high-profile manager, particularly if Tottenham decide to part ways with Ange Postecoglou.
While there has been no public confirmation of discussions with Paratici, Wenham believes the club may simply be keeping developments under wraps for now.
Speaking to Tottenham News, the pundit commented:
“I do think Paratici will return to Tottenham.
“Matt Law’s report stated that Levy had not held talks with Paratici. However, Tottenham are probably just cautious of that information being out there at the moment. Therefore, if you ask me, I think Paratici will return.
“I don’t think it is irrelevant that he has been spotted running things behind the scenes at Tottenham during the length of his ban. I think he would be a welcome addition, and his return would help us to attract a big-name manager if Postecoglou is sacked.”

Fabio Paratici’s time at Tottenham
Paratici’s background in football operations makes him a significant figure in the sport. His career began at Sampdoria in 2004, where his keen scouting abilities earned him rapid promotions. By 2010, he had joined Juventus, playing a key role in their dominance over the next decade.
When he arrived at Tottenham in June 2021, he wasted no time in making an impact. He was instrumental in securing Antonio Conte’s appointment, strengthening the squad, and guiding the team to a top-four finish in his first season.
However, his tenure was overshadowed by legal troubles stemming from his time in Italy, ultimately forcing him to step down.
Even after his resignation, Paratici has reportedly remained engaged with Spurs, offering insight on transfer targets and squad planning.
If Tottenham decide to part ways with Postecoglou, Paratici’s expertise and network could be invaluable in securing a top-tier replacement, positioning Spurs for a fresh start.
