The Detroit Lions turned in one of the best seasons in franchise history in 2024, followed by an abrupt playoff exit at the hands of the Washington Commanders.
The Lions' playoff loss obscured the team's place high on the pantheon of Detroit sports teams as a local and national phenomenon that shows no signs of slowing.
On Tuesday, Lions president and CEO Rod Wood was shown discussing a development related to the Lions' stadium experience that is sure to stoke discussion in the Motor City for this coming season.
Wood said that the Lions' ticket prices are already high, and cautioned that they will get higher this season.
"It's a tough thing, but you have to recognize what the market is," Wood said in a post shared by reporter Eric Woodyard.
Wood said that the only complaints he got about ticket prices during the Lions' magical run last year was regarding brokers, not the tickets sold by the franchise itself.
"Unlike prior years, I never got a single complaint about ticket prices," Wood can be heard saying in the video below.

The Lions' 2025 season will be the franchise's 96th in the National Football League.
The schedule includes marquee games against Tampa Bay, the Los Angeles Rams and the Kansas City Chiefs.
