The NBA postseason is just a few weeks away, and with teams entering the final stretch of regular-season games, the anticipation and expectation to peak at the right time is crucial. It seems the Celtics have done just that over the month of March.
Now, with the Celtics back in action on Tuesday at home against the Miami Heat, the team made a big announcement regarding head coach Joe Mazzulla, who has proven to be the perfect fit for the Celtics since being hired in 2023.
On Tuesday, the Celtics and the NBA revealed that Mazzulla has been named the Eastern Conference Coach of the Month for March. Under his leadership, Boston posted an impressive 14-1 record, including a perfect 8-0 on the road.
"8-0 on the road & 14-1 overall in March," Mazzulla said. "Congrats, Joe."

Celtics fans reacted to Mazzulla winning Coach of the Month with a similar stance, as Boston now holds a 56-19 overall record:
"Soon to be coach of the year," A fan said.
"Coach of the Month and the squad is just getting started. Keep rollin', Joe!" Someone else added.
"Best coach in the league right now," Another fan posted.
One more fan commented, "He's gonna celebrate by eating some delicious popcorn and throwing on The Town on the TV."
Joe Mazzulla remains one of the most intriguing coaches in the game. While he's a man of few words during press conferences, he's earned every right to coach at the NBA level. His ability to get the players to buy into his system and lead them to success speaks volumes about his coaching ability.
Taking over a talented Boston team, Mazzulla has maintained a 177-62 overall record. In just two seasons, he's led the Celtics to the Eastern Conference Finals and followed it up with a championship run last season, helping the Celtics capture their league-leading 18th title.
