The New Billionaires: Meet the DFW Leaders Among the World’s Richest People

Forbes has released its annual ranking of the world’s wealthiest people. The 2025 edition featured more than 30 North Texans, the richest of whom is Alice Walton. The only daughter of the late Walmart founder Sam Walton is the wealthiest woman in the world and a resident of Fort Worth.

New Dallas Mavericks Owner Miriam Adelson is the second richest woman with North Texas ties on the list, followed by Elaine Marshall, a Koch Industries heiress, and Lyndal Stephens Greth, the former chair of Endeavor Energy.

Dallas Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones is the richest man in DFW, followed by banking executive Andy Beal. New players have emerged on this year’s list including Ben Lamm, who is working to resurrect the woolly mammoth and other extinct species.
