NBA Announces Exciting Bulls News Before Raptors Game

Tuesday night's Toronto Raptors-Chicago Bulls game will be a battle between two franchises in similar situations. The Raptors (28-47) are only five games behind the Bulls (33-42), and they're both 6-4 in their last 10 games.

Additionally, both teams are talented but haven't completely figured it out yet. Toronto has 2022 Rookie of the Year and 2024 All-Star Scottie Barnes, as well as 2016 No. 2 overall pick Brandon Ingram, who's nursing an ankle injury. Meanwhile, Chicago has 25-year-old guard Coby White, who's averaging 20.3 points on 44.6 percent shooting this season.

The NBA gave the North Carolina alum a significant honor on Tuesday.

"The Eastern Conference Kia Player of the Month for March is Coby White!" the league announced on social media.

White averaged 27.7 points on 49.5 percent shooting (37.9 percent 3 PT) with 4.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 15 March games. He led the Bulls to a 9-6 record over that span.

White is averaging a career-high scoring output, as his previous best mark was 19.1 points last season. The 6-foot-5-inch, 195-pounder has formed a fearsome backcourt duo with Josh Giddey, who averaged 20.3 points on 49 percent shooting (35.7 percent 3 PT) with 9.6 rebounds and nine assists in March.

The Bulls will likely finish at least with the Eastern Conference's 10th seed, which is the final Play-In Tournament spot. The Raptors are the closest team behind them with just seven contests left. They could also leapfrog the Miami Heat, who are just one game ahead of them.
