The Golden State Warriors are playing a crucial game against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday that carries big playoff implications.
A win would elevate them ahead of the Grizzlies into fifth place in the Western Conference standings and, at the very least, greatly increase their chances of avoiding the play-in tournament.
The Warriors have been on a tear ever since six-time All-Star forward Jimmy Butler made his debut with them nearly two months ago, even though Stephen Curry has had some poor shooting games lately.
But he has looked like his vintage self versus Memphis. In fact, he scored 32 points in the first half, which tied him for the third-most 3-point halves in NBA history since the 1997-98 season.
With a 32-PT first half, Steph Curry has now tied LeBron James for the third-most 30+ PT halves (22) in the play-by-play era (1997-98).
James Harden - 30
Kobe Bryant - 28
Stephen Curry - 22
LeBron James - 22

In his five previous games, the future Hall of Famer made just 38.8% of his shot attempts. He suffered a pelvic injury at one point, and before that, Golden State head coach Steve Kerr admitted that Curry was tired.
But until then, Curry looked revitalized by the arrival of Butler. More importantly, the team has looked revitalized, and overall, it has won 18 of its last 23 games coming into Tuesday.
In fact, plenty of people now consider the Warriors to be dark-horse contenders in the Western Conference. At the very least, no one will want to face them come playoff time.
