Every owner in the NFL wants to win a Super Bowl. Not every single owner is willing to do what it takes to get that title, though.
Philadelphia Eagles fans understand the difference. They have had owners in team history who were cheap in retaining talent, or simply didn't know how to hire the right people.
Since Jeffrey Lurie bought the team in the mid-90s, though, those concerns are dead for good.
Now, with four Super Bowl appearances and two titles to his resume, Lurie has become a hero in the City of Brotherly Love.
As the 2024 team goes into history as one of the best ever, though, the bill is coming due for the franchise. Large dead cap and salary bonus charges are going to some of the best players in the world. That can weigh on even the richest owners in the sport.
While the money is something Lurie is obviously watching, it's not something he's overly concerned with.

"Our cash over cap has been high, and it'll continue to be. I only know one way. ... If you want to win big, you better plan ahead," Lurie said at league meetings on Tuesday.
Lurie's aggressive style in owning the team has seeped into the entire organization. They have an aggressive owner, coach, and roster that wants to be the best ever.
And with a championship repeat on deck, there is plenty for Lurie to continue to want to pay for.
