Warriors’ Steph Curry Left Steve Kerr ‘Shaking Head in Disbelief’ in Historic Performance

Even after spending more than a decade together, Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry can still manage to amaze his head coach.

The Warriors star had a historic performance in the team's 134-125 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on April 1, connecting on 12 3-pointers and pouring in 52 total points. Curry added 10 rebounds, eight assists, five steals, and one block.

As reporter Anthony Slater noted, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was left in disbelief after one of Curry's long 3-pointers in the first half.

"Steph Curry's first half in Memphis: 32 points, 11/16 FG, 8/10 on 3s," Slater shared in a post on X. "Steve Kerr looked at the scorer's table and shook his head in disbelief after that last 30-foot bomb."

Curry fell two 3-pointers shy of the all-time NBA single-game record of 14, which was set by former Warriors teammate Klay Thompson. Curry also came just short of his personal high of 13 3-pointers in a single game.

The Warriors star did attain some other personal accolades in the game, passing Jerry West to reach No. 25 on the NBA's all-time scoring list. He also became the second player in Warriors history to reach 4,000 made free throws in his career.

The win was a critical step forward for Curry and the Warriors, moving them into the No. 6 spot in the Western Conference and moving them further from the Play-In Tournament.
