The Diplomatic Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which reopened its exhibition room last April in Azabudai Hills, will be hosting a special exhibition titled "Portrait of Yoshida Shigeru: Through Precious Historical Documents" from Tuesday, April 8, 2025, to Saturday, May 31, 2025, to commemorate its first anniversary.
This year also marks the 100th year of the Showa era and the 80th year since the end of World War II, presenting an opportune moment to reflect on Yoshida Shigeru's significant contributions to post-war diplomacy, earning him the title of "Prime Minister of the Showa Era." The exhibition will showcase valuable historical documents related to Yoshida Shigeru and will focus on his diplomatic activities and character, allowing visitors to explore and appreciate his achievements and legacy.
