Warriors Send 1-Word Message to Steph Curry After Historic Performance

The Golden State Warriors had just one word to describe Steph Curry's historic performance on Tuesday.

Curry flirted with the NBA single-game record for 3-pointers in the team's 134-125 win over the Memphis Grizzlies, knocking down 12 and scoring 52 total points. The Warriors guard connected on 12-of-20 shots from behind the 3-point arc, adding 10 rebounds, eight assists, five steals, and one block.

After the game, the Warriors took to social media to share praise for Curry's big game and a one-word descriptor.

"You're in for a night when Curry gets cookin'" the post read. "12 threes. One word: UNREAL."

The team included a highlight showing all 12 triples from Curry, including several from deep.

Curry's performance also earned praise from the NBA, which called is a "masterclass." The win moved the Warriors into the No. 5 spot in the Western Conference, giving them some critical space above the Play-In Tournament.

Though Curry fell two 3-pointers shy of the NBA's single-game record -- which remains with former Warriors teammate Klay Thompson -- he did move up in the league and franchise record books in the game. Curry passed NBA legend Jerry West for the No. 25 spot on the league's all-time scoring list and also became the second Warriors player to make 4,000 career free throws.
