Steph Curry Passes LeBron James on NBA History List

The Golden State Warriors defeated the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday behind 52 points from Steph Curry, who shot 16-of-31 from the field and 12-of-20 from beyond the arc.

Not only did Curry help the Warriors climb to No. 5 in the Western Conference standings, but he also passed Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James for most 50-point games in NBA history.

LeBron, the leading scorer of all time, has scored 50 points 14 times during his career. With Tuesday's performance against the Grizzlies, Curry now has one more 50-point game than The King.

If the regular season ended today, the Lakers and Warriors would face each other in the first round of the playoffs.

Los Angeles eliminated Golden State in the second round of the 2023 playoffs.

LeBron is arguably the greatest player of all time, while Curry is universally recognized as the best shooter ever. Basketball fans around the world would certainly be in for a treat if the Lakers and Warriors played each other in the 2025 playoffs.

First things first, though: the Lakers and Warriors have to wrap up their regular season series on Thursday in Los Angeles. LeBron and Co. have already won the season series, as they are up 3-0.

The Lakers and Warriors have seven games left in the regular season. It will be fascinating to see how both teams finish the season.
