“Really Pumped” Haason Reddick

Drew Rosenhaus talks about his client.
The Bucs are believing/hoping/praying they signed a beastly and hungry edge rusher in free agent Haason Reddick.
It was a critical move for Tampa Bay, so Joe tracked down superagent Drew Rosenhaus to talk about the move yesterday at the NFL owners meetings in Palm Beach.
Rosenhaus became Reddick’s agent last year after his Jets holdout got terribly messy and lasted into October.
Rosenhaus found a player that wanted to resolve his contract squabble with the Jets and get to work. And that’s what happened. Reddick reported to the Jets about a week after Rosenhaus came on board.
While Reddick’s 10-game stretch with New York yielded just two half-sacks, Rosenhaus said he can assure Bucs fans they’re getting a version of Reddick that will be much more like the guy who terrorized quarterbacks from 2020 through 2023.
“Haason, in all of our discussions, has been incredibly excited about signing with the Buccaneers,” Rosenhaus told Joe. “Really looking forward to playing for Coach Bowles and he knows [outside linebackers] Coach [Larry] Foote well. Really pumped about going to one of the better teams in the league. He’s really motivated to have a great season; last year was a challenging year for a lot of reasons. But he’s looking forward to rebounding and getting back in the Pro Bowl and All-Pro and hopefully winning a championship.”
Joe sure hopes Reddick appreciates playing for, like Rosenhaus said, one of the better NFL teams.
And not only is Reddick likely to get back in the playoffs, he’ll be worshipped by Bucs fans if his pass rush game is what it was with the Cardinals, Panthers and Eagles.
