Stephen Curry never ceases to amaze the basketball world. Not only does that world include NBA fans and fellow players, but it also includes his head coach of 11 years, Steve Kerr.
Curry, 37, continues to climb the record books seemingly on a nightly basis, and coach Kerr, is admittedly, running out of superlatives for his All-Star point guard.
Curry had another historic performance during the Warriors' 134-125 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. During the victory, Curry made 12 3-pointers while pouring in 52 points. Curry added 10 rebounds, eight assists, five steals, and one block.
With this incredible performance, Curry fell just two 3-pointers shy of the all-time NBA single-game record (14), held by Curry's former teammate, Klay Thompson. Curry also just missed his personal-best, 13 made 3-pointers in a single game.
At 37-years-old, it makes those who marvel at Curry's accomplishments wonder what the secret to his success is. While Kerr doesn't have all the answers, he believes Curry's recent week off recovering from injury, paired with two rounds of golf on the team's current road trip, led to Curry's historic performance on Tuesday night.

"I think two rounds of golf on this road trip helped. I'm only half-joking," Kerr said with a wry smile.
Kerr went on to explain that the entire week off while recovering from a pelvic contusion seemed to provide Curry with a reset physically and mentally.
"I think the week off helped him. He looks recharged and rejuvenated," Kerr added.
While Curry didn't set the single-game, 3-pointers record, he did pass Jerry West, reaching No. 25 on the NBA's all-time scoring list. He also became the second player in Warriors history to reach 4,000 made free throws in his career.
The Warriors won their third consecutive game on Tuesday, moving into the No. 5 spot in the Western Conference. They own a 44-31 record on the season and will take on the Los Angeles Lakers in their next game on the road on Thursday night.
