Kerry footballer Paul Geaney says he wants the GAA to retain the National Football League finals rather than awarding the titles to the teams that top their respective divisions.

Had a system of awarding the title and cup to the team that finished top of the division applied this year, Mayo would have been the first recipient of the new Corn Mhíchíl Uí Mhuircheartaigh, but that detail aside, the Kerry forward feels that League finals have merit and a place in the calendar.
