Healthcare PR and communications agency, The Needs & Seeds Communication Lab, has unveiled a renewed corporate identity (CI) as it marks its 16th anniversary.

Since its establishment in 2009, The Needs & Seeds has evolved into a leading healthcare PR consultancy. Over the past 16 years, the agency has supported more than 50 clients, including pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device companies, medical societies, and healthcare foundations.

The company provides tailored services spanning corporate communications, marketing, issue and crisis management, key message development, CSR campaigns, and social media operations such as LinkedIn management.

In early 2023, the company also launched “Listen to Patients,” Korea’s first research-based patient voice channel. The platform helps amplify patient and caregiver perspectives in public discourse and promotes a culture of patient-centered care in the healthcare ecosystem.

The redesigned CI incorporates the company’s initials—"N" and "S"—as symbolic elements that reflect its core values.

“The yellow ‘N’ stands for needs, representing the agency’s mission to deliver high-quality services that fulfill client demands, and the green ‘S’ symbolizes success, highlighting the company’s role in supporting the sustainable growth of its clients,” the PR agency said.

The updated CI also reflects the company’s internal culture and vision.

The yellow N represents the development and professionalism of PR consultants within the organization, while the green S reflects the company’s efforts to nurture that growth and supports team development and success, the company explained.

In line with the CI renewal, The Needs & Seeds also hosted a hands-on training session for its consultants focused on generative AI.

The session was led by Professor Seo Dong-min, a senior researcher at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI) and professor at the University of Science and Technology (UST), where he specializes in applied AI.

The training covered key concepts in generative AI, its strengths and limitations, and practical prompt engineering techniques for enhancing work efficiency. Consultants practiced using AI tools for document drafting, data summarization, and meeting transcription automation.

The Needs & Seeds has consistently invested in staff development over the past 16 years, offering training programs led by industry experts, both internally and externally.

Topics in previous sessions have covered PR strategy, healthcare communications, medical terminology, drug approval and market access, hospital-based clinical studies, patient group engagement, media landscape analysis, compliance with Korean healthcare regulations, and labor law.

“The new CI visually represents Needs & Seeds’ core values of customer satisfaction and employee growth,” The Needs & Seeds CEO Myung Sung-ok said. “With this renewal, we aim to reaffirm our foundational principles and further focus on realizing patient-centered values as a long-standing leader in healthcare PR and communications.”
