Former Marquette Golden Eagles Star Oso Ighodaro Earns Admiration from Bucks Big Man Brook…

Oso Ighodaro got to play at the Fiserv Forum again to play the Milwaukee Bucks since leaving the Marquette Golden Eagles to turn pro last year. Although his Phoenix Suns lost, he still had a good outing, even earning good remarks from his opponents.

The Suns lost to the Bucks in their second meeting this season, 123-133. Ighodaro played close to 18 minutes and scored six points, three out of three from the field, while defending Bucks veteran big men Brook Lopez and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The Fiserv Forum is a very familiar court for Ighodaro who played four seasons for the Golden Eagles based in Wisconsin.

He led the Marquette to a Sweet 16 finish during 2023-2024 season while cementing himself as one of the program’s great, earning two Second-team All-Big East honors in his last two years.

He was touched by the welcome tribute made by some fans for him. The electronic billboard at

@MajorGoolsbys reads “Welcome back to Milwaukee Oso Ighodaro.”

Ighodaro did not see the billboard himself but he is thankful for the love.

Oso Ighodaro making Marquette Golden Eagles proud

Ighodaro’s team lost on Tuesday but he scored more points than the first time he met the Milwaukee heroes.

He was tasked to guard the Bucks veterans and for Lopez, Oso made a good account of himself.

He’s fearless out there. He’s talented. He’s obviously learning. He’s playing with players he can learn from like Book [Devin Booker] and KD. Grayson [Allen].

Brook Lopez

“He’s been fearless, he’s been going out there doing his thing, he’s been aggressive, and he’s definitely been a plus for his team.”

Ighodaro is steadily carving his way into the Suns rotation after being buried in the bench. With him getting more minutes, the team has a better chance of winning according to stats.
