'Doubting me': Wolves star says people have questioned him recently, he's proven them wrong…

Wolves clinched back-to-back wins for only the second time under Vitor Pereira following a victory over West Ham in the Premier League.

Jorgen Strand Larsen’s deflected first-half strike was enough to secure the three points at Molineux, with Wolves learning a lot about their win against West Ham.

It’s now two wins for the Old Gold without talisman Matheus Cunha, who served the penultimate game of his suspension on Tuesday night.

Cunha watched on from the stands, and some fans even suggested the team are better off without the Brazilian as a whole.

The 25-year-old is filled with individual quality but supporters are now realising that the team can cope in his absence, allowing one star to flourish.

Jorgen Strand Larsen says ‘people have been doubting me’

It’s been a rapid turnaround for Strand Larsen in a Wolves shirt. The Norwegian went seven games without scoring before firing a brace against Southampton.

That must have acted as a confidence booster as the 25-year-old netted a well taken goal in the win over West Ham, taking him up to double figures for the campaign.

Strand Larsen can be pleased with his debut campaign in the Premier League, although he did admit that some people have been doubting him recently.

“I don’t care [if goal took a deflection], the ball went in. It doesn’t matter how. I’m happy anyway,” he said via BBC Sport.

“Ten is always the goal for a striker and we have eight games to go. People have been doubting me a bit so I think it’s nice to show them. Today I was a bit lucky but that’s how it is.”

Crucially, the towering forward has proven the doubters wrong by scoring three goals in two games while entering an exclusive club at Molineux.

Strand Larsen becomes fifth Wolves player to hit double figures in Premier League

Supporters of the Wanderers have witnessed some prolific strikers in the modern era, most notably Raul Jimenez, who is Wolves’ all-time Premier League goalscorer.

The Molineux faithful have also been blessed to watch the likes of Steven Fletcher and Cunha in attack, two players who have hit double figures in the top flight, with Strand Larsen becoming the fifth.
