[Real Madrid](https://www.managingmadrid.com) coach Carlo Ancelotti spoke after the dramatic 4-4 draw with Real Sociedad to explain that he always kept faith in his players, saying, “I never thought we were going out. At the Bernabéu anything can happen. When we have to fight back on the scoreboard we never give up. It’s a heated atmosphere and that helps us a lot. We never give up and even less so here.”
### **Ancelotti on the game**
“It was entertaining, we achieved our goal of being in the final and there is not much time to think about it. We have achieved our goal.”
### **Ancelotti on 50 matches this season**
“I think we are pretty good. Those who have come in have contributed. Those who have played from the first moment have held their own, like Rodrygo, Bellingham... On a physical level we have finished well. Better than Real Sociedad.”
### **Ancelotti on Olasagasti’s tackle on Vinícius**
“For me it was a red card, but it’s a situation where the referee has to choose. For him it’s yellow and for me it’s red.”
### **Ancelotti on whistles for Vinícius**
“Yes, it brought out the best Vinicius. He was decisive. With one of his plays we scored the 2-3 and he played a spectacular game.”
### **Ancelotti on defensive errors**
“A bit of bad luck as well. Alaba had played a good game, but he deflected the ball twice. These are things that can happen. But what matters is that we’re in the final.”
### **Ancelotti on Endrick’s performance**
“That’s what we asked of him. He made fantastic movement. He doesn’t touch the ball many times, but he’s very effective.”
### **Ancelotti on what disappointed him**
“To concede four goals is not good. It’s a team that is clinical in front of goal, but we had little balance, although scoring four goals against Real Sociedad is not easy.”
