Everton have work to do in this summer’s transfer window in providing both quality and squad depth ahead of the new season.
David Moyes is very much aware of the issues which he is going to face over the coming months as players look set to leave at the end of their deals.
There are some players who could stay with Everton wanting to keep Idrissa Gana Gueye by offering him an extended deal.
However, it is becoming evidently more apparent that some of the other players will soon be departing at the end of the term.
Everton were only able to bring in one player over the January transfer window in Carlos Alcaraz who joined on loan from Flamengo.
But work is going on behind the scenes at Finch Farm to make some inroads on the transfer front ahead of the window opening in June.
David Moyes identifies Ben Doak as Everton summer target
Everton may not sign players until after the PSR window shuts at the end of June, as the Friedkins look to start their summer with a fresh slate.
The Toffees recently filed their latest financial report as the club hope for a more promising future under the American billionaire.

The 19-year-old winger is currently playing his football on loan with Championship outfit Middlesbrough.
However, his parent side is none other than Liverpool and no player has moved from the Reds to the Blues since Gary Ablett in 1992.
But this is a player Moyes has personally shown a real interest in and will have watched his fellow Scotsman represent the national side.
Everton are set to be handed a healthy transfer budget for the summer, with the new owners well aware that there is plenty of work to be done.
Taking a promising youngster from their city rivals would be a real statement of intent from the Toffees ahead of their move to Bramley-Moore Dock.

David Moyes shares Everton PSR verdict ahead of summer
After arriving in January, Moyes was shocked how PSR affected Everton and hamstrung them in the January window.
The 61-year-old will be hoping this is not the same when the Toffees enter the summer transfer market.
Everton are going to need to be active this summer given the player turnover expected due to the contract situations.
Speaking in Tuesday’s press conference ahead of the Merseyside Derby, Moyes shared his thoughts on the club’s position ahead of the summer.
“I’m actually hoping that we don’t [need to sell],” he said.
“I’m hoping that maybe we might be okay but I couldn’t confirm that.”
“It’s not like we can just go out and buy 10 players because we still have the rules to abide by. We will need to plot a course on what it is going to look like, squad and new players and players who we are keeping as well.”
