Arsenal's next fixtures compared to Liverpool as the title race takes a twist

Arsenal only have a few days to recharge their batteries before they're back in action. The Gunners will face Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon as they look to narrow Liverpool's advantage at the top of the Premier League.

After defeating Fulham at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night, Arsenal are now just nine points behind the Reds in the title race. But, Liverpool have a game in hand over the north Londoners – which they'll play against the Toffees at Anfield on Wednesday evening.

Arne Slot's side may have a great lead, but they showed signs of weakness before the international break. So, with that being said, football.london has looked at Arsenal's final fixtures and how they compare to Liverpool.

Everton (A) – Premier League – Saturday, April 5

Everton could essentially hand Liverpool the Premier League trophy on a silver platter if they manage to defeat Arsenal. That said, if the Toffees take points from their Merseyside rivals a few days earlier and then lose to the Gunners, suddenly we have a title race on our hands.

Real Madrid (H) – Champions League – Tuesday, April 8

Huge game. While Mikel Arteta would probably much prefer to play Real Madrid at home in the second leg, Arsenal have a brilliant chance to establish a lead over the reigning European champions.

Brentford (H) – Premier League – Saturday, April 12

Fortunately, the Gunners are back at the Emirates Stadium a few days later. Arteta will be hoping the home faithful can give his players a send-off to remember before they jet off to the Spanish capital.

Real Madrid (A) – Champions League – Wednesday, April 16

Arsenal won't have long to prepare for this tie. If the Gunners can defeat Real Madrid, they'll play either Paris Saint-Germain or Aston Villa in the semi-final two weeks or so later.

Ipswich Town (A) – Premier League – Sunday, April 20

The fixtures come thick and fast for Arsenal this month. Again, the Gunners won't have long to prepare for their trip to Portman Road so Arteta will likely rotate his squad and make several changes.

Meanwhile, Liverpool...

April 2 vs Everton (H) at 8pm - Premier League

April 6 vs Fulham (A) at 2pm - Premier League

April 13 vs West Ham (H) at 2pm - Premier League

April 20 vs Leicester City (A) at 4.30pm - Premier League

April 27 vs Tottenham (H) at 4.30pm - Premier League
