'In my opinion': Vitor Pereira makes fresh prediction about Wolves' future that'll leave fans…

Wolves recorded a big win in the Premier League last night to go 12 points clear of the relegation zone.

Wolves ran out 1-0 winners against West Ham United, with Jorgen Strand Larsen on target for the third time in two matches.

The number nine struck from the edge of the box, and the ball took a nick off Maximilian Kilman on the way in.

Strand Larsen again stepped up in the absence of Matheus Cunha, who was present at Molineux for last night’s game.

Wolves showed they can play without him, playing some excellent stuff in the first-half. But the second-half was a real battle, and Wanderers did well to see out the game.

The Wolves players mobbed Pereira on the full-time whistle, which indicated just how big a win it was – and after the game, the head coach made a prediction that will greatly encourage fans.

2024/25 has been a tough old season.

But Wolves look like they will now be OK, having gone 12 points clear of the drop zone.

Ipswich Town and Leicester City are both in action tonight and are hoping to cut the gap. But Wolves are in a very healthy position, and belief in Pereira is strong.

And his belief in the team is strong, as he made a prediction about next season.

He said (via E&S): “The future will be brilliant, in my opinion.

“The next season will be stronger than this season. Next season, I really believe, that we will not play with this (at the bottom).”

The future is bright

Wolves were not at their best last night, although that first-half display was good.

But it was only ever going to be about winning the game, and Wolves did that, showing character and real heart in the second-half when they came under pressure.

One gets the feeling that Wolves would not have seen the game out under the previous manager.

The tide is turning at Wolves.

Pereira has come in and made a brilliant impact, and you can clearly see he is already deeply respected at Molineux.

The players and fans love him, so there is every reason to believe that 2025/26 can be a much better season for the club.
