The Merseyside Derby is approaching, and this time, Liverpool FC will host Everton at Anfield.
At his pre-game press conference, Everton manager David Moyes was asked about this potentially being Mo Salah’s last Merseyside derby, and the Scottsman heaped some praise onto the Egyptian superstar:
“He’s having an unbelievable season for Liverpool. But let’s be fair we’re talking about one of the top Premier League players of this generation. And it’s not just this season, he’s been so consistent over most seasons; scoring plenty of goals, plenty of assists, looks as if he plays nearly all the games, very rarely injured. He’s been an excellent player for Liverpool.”
“We’ll enjoy taking him to the airport and getting him on the plane, getting him out.”
This has been a season for the ages for Mo Salah, potentially cementing his place as the best right-winger to have played in the Premier League. Seeing his peers and colleagues give him the flowers he deserves is always nice, and we’ll hopefully get to see him in a red shirt for many more years to come.
