Chelsea are weighing up a summer swoop for Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic, according to reports in Italy.
Tuttosport claim that the Blues are ready to “pounce” to secure the signature of the Serbian international.
Milinkovic-Savic’s name will be familiar to some. He is the younger brother of former Lazio midfielder Sergej.
However, he has carved out his own career in Italian football, having been Torino’s first-choice keeper for the last four seasons.
Why are Chelsea interested in the Serbian?
Tuttosport report that head coach Enzo Maresca is keen on finding a replacement for the error-prone Robert Sanchez and he has identified Milinkovic-Savic as a potential target due to his kicking ability and penalty saving exploits.

It is also beneficial that the 28-year-old has a release clause in his contract that means that any team can sign him for just €20m (£17m).
Another Premier League team is after Milinkovic-Savic
It is believed that Manchester City are also weighing up a move for the Serbian, with manager Pep Guardiola said to be unhappy with the performances of Ederson this campaign.
Whether the Cityzens will prioritise a new keeper when they have so many other positions to reinforce, though. it is up for debate. Even so, his availability for such a low price would make him a low-risk purchase.
In terms of Chelsea, there are still doubts over whether they will add another goalkeeper to the squad this summer. Some have cited the fact that Djordje Petrovic will return from his loan spell at Strasbourg at the end of the season, while Mike Penders is also set to arrive from Genk, meaning Maresca could have two additional options to choose from. However, it appears the Italian would like to bring in Milinkovic-Savic as well.
