To better serve the overseas Chinese nationals in Uganda, Mr. Fan Xuecheng, Charge d' Affaires ad Interim of the Chinese Embassy in Uganda, headed a team to Wagagai area on March 28 to conduct consular service activities for Chinese nationals in this area.

Fan visited the mining enterprise, heard the report on the enterprise' production and management as well as the employees’ living conditions and difficulties. The team also introduced the Regulations of the People's Republic of China on Consular Protection and Assistance and key consular protection policies, and explained the application procedures for some consular documents through many cases. The interactive Q&A session addressed common issues such as passport renewal and emergency assistance.

The employees of the enterprise expressed heartfelt appreciation for the team’s consular service activities and the deep solicitude from the Chinese government and the Embassy, stating it reinforced their confidence in working in Uganda and their commitment to advancing China-Uganda cooperation and friendship.
