Antony insists it is "too early" to make a decision on his Manchester United future as he continues to resurrect his career in Spain. The Brazilian flopped at Old Trafford and was allowed to leave in January for Real Betis.

Since joining the La Liga club he's been a huge hit and has shown the form he produced at Ajax, which convinced the Manchester outfit to spend more than £80million to sign him in 2022. Antony hasn't come close to delivering on that fee throughout his time in the Premier League.

Prior to his exit, the winger failed to start a single league game and scored just once, that coming in the Carabao Cup. But since moving to Spain, the 25-year-old has come up with regular goal contributions and helped Betis embark on an impressive winning run.

Whilst the player has shown what he's capable of, he refused to be drawn on whether he'll stay in Spain full-time.

He told Mundo Deportivo: “I’m very happy here, but it’s still too early to decide. I enjoy every day in the Betis shirt. I identify a lot with the fans because of the feeling; we Brazilians are like that too.”

United had a number of players on their books who weren't performing and allowing them to leave, even temporarily, was smart for all parties in the short term. Marcus Rashford is another player to excel since leaving, impressing at Aston Villa, and Ruben Amorim insists that is only good for the team.

He said: “I know Rashford really well and everybody knows the talent that he has. So I already spoke about that. He’s a top player, if he wants. So I'm not surprised. And like I said, it's the same with Antony, it's a good thing. We see our players doing well on loan in a different context. That can happen and it's a good sign for the club.”

Unless United win the Europa League, which would see them bank Champions League revenue for next year, they are likely going to have to sell before they can make any proper investment into the playing squad. Amorim is yet to have a summer window as manager.

He has numerous positions where he needs to add quality and Antony, who has not convinced at all in Manchester, is tipped to move on. There appears to be some bad blood with Amorim claiming the Brazilian struggled physically in England, but his agent has said: "We respect the opinion of coach Ruben Amorim, but we completely disagree with his analysis."
