Superb facilities key in decision to revisit United States

Looking to take advantage of the outstanding sporting facilities the United States have, Manchester United technical director Jason Wilcox confirmed the country’s ‘world-class’ training centres and stadiums were a key factor in the club’s decision to return for a third time.

“The weeks leading up to a new Premier League season is always an exciting time for Manchester United players and fans alike, and we enjoy spending that period in the US, taking advantage of world-class training facilities and stadiums, and engaging with fans,” Wilcox told ManUtd.

“Playing other teams from the Premier League provides the players with an opportunity to gain valuable playing time against top opposition, and for our passionate fans to see some of the most famous teams in world football playing live at three of the most iconic stadiums in North America.”

Before preparing for their Pre-Season Tour 2025, Manchester United will welcome Aston Villa to Old Trafford on Sunday 25 May 2025 for their final game of the 2024-25 Premier League season.
