Man United are currently experiencing their worst season of the Premier League era
Man United are one of the biggest and most supported teams in English football and they make a great deal of revenue each year through merchandise, with the bulk of the money coming from shirt sales across the globe.
The 13-time champions have been renowned for producing iconic kits throughout the Premier League era, particularly in the 1990s when the Man Utd kits were designed by Umbro, with Sharp being the main shirt sponsor throughout a trophy-laden era for the club. From 2002 to 2015, in the later years of Sir Alex Ferguson and the start of tenures with David Moyes and Louis van Gaal, the club were made by Nike, with the likes of AIG, Vodafone, AON and Chevrolet all sponsoring the iconic kit.
Over the last decade the club has been sponsored by Adidas and though the club hasn’t seen a Premier League title in this era, they have enjoyed success in the FA Cup, League Cup and Europa League. After falling in both domestic cup competitions and the league this season, United will hope that they can achieve success in the Europa League to ensure they are once again dining at Europe’s elite table in Ruben Amorim’s first full year in charge.
The former Sporting coach will hope that he can lead the team into more promising times next season after preceding over the club’s worst ever top-flight campaign. With that in mind, we take a look at the ‘leaked’ United away kit for the 2025/26 season.
Manchester United 2025/26 away kit ‘leaked’
As per Footy Headlines on X, Man United’s away strip for the 2025/26 season has been leaked and it is one which has so far divided opinion with supporters. The away shirt is white and light lavender, combined with dark purple accents (Dark Plum). It is worth noting that the leak is not a confirmed release, and the finished product could well differ greatly from the current images doing the rounds online.
It looks set to be the first white United away kit since the 2022/23 season when Erik ten Hag led the Red Devils to League Cup glory against Newcastle United while also finishing third in the Premier League and runners-up in the FA Cup to rivals Manchester City.
This strip has had a mixed reception from United fans with one referring it on X as “uninspiring bland nothingness” and another posting “This kit is too clean the colour way is too clean.”
Man Utd on course for worst ever league campaign
The Red Devils are now 30 games into the league season and are still yet to win consecutive games in what has been a miserable campaign for Ruben Amorim’s side following the decision to sack Erik ten Hag in the first half of the season.
United after a 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest, sit 13th in the table and have scored just 37 times in 30 league games, leaving them needing a further 12 goals from their last eight games if they are to avoid repeating their worst return of 49 during the 2015/16 campaign. However, this is just one disappointing factor from the Old Trafford’s club perspective, and an even great concern will be their points tally of 37, which gives them an average of 1.23 points per game.

United’s lowest ever points tally in a season was 58 under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Ragnick and the team would now need to win at least seven of their games in the league to that feat, which given the fact they haven’t yet won consecutive games is a huge feat.
The Red Devils' only hope of salvation comes from the Europa League and winning that competition would offer the team a lifeline of Champions League qualification. They take on a Real Sociedad team that are also underperforming this term in the quarter-final across two legs as they look to keep their hopes alive.
