Leeds United have been linked with several attacking options ahead of their potential return to the top flight.
Daniel Farke’s side are gunning for promotion back to the Premier League, but this run is now in serious danger after a few poor results.
Leeds have been potent in front of goal with 78 goals in 39 Championship games, far more than any other side, but this has also come without a true out-and-out number nine capable of killing games off.
Norwich City’s Josh Sargent has been linked with a move to Elland Road, and it has now been claimed that the 25-year-old could be the perfect fit for Leeds.

Lee Hendrie claims Sargent could join Leeds
Former Aston Villa star Lee Hendrie has now claimed that USA International Sargent, who has netted 44 career Championship goals for Norwich, could be the number nine Leeds need to take their attack to the next level.
MORE LEEDS STORIES
“They haven’t really got an out-and-out focal point with the players they’ve got,” Hendrie told Football League World (1 April) in reference to Sargent’s next move.
“They’ve got lots of players that can play like a 10: you have to go back to the likes of Patrick Bamford who’s scored a lot of goals for them, but with the talent that they have in behind, I’d like to actually see that possibly happen.

Josh Sargent in the Championship this season
“Josh Sargent may go to Leeds, because I do feel that he’s got so much potential. A goalscorer – I think at times, that’s maybe what Leeds are possibly missing.
“I just think that at Leeds, he might just offer something a little bit different to what they’ve actually got.
“I feel that they have so many 10’s and attacking players that maybe like to drift into pockets, rather than be a focal point.”

Sargent would offer something different to Leeds attack
Despite Leeds proving themselves as an attacking force in the Championship, it would be a very different scenario in the Premier League, and a number nine would be a necessary addition.
Sargent would certainly offer a different profile to Joel Piroe, Patrick Bamford and Mateo Joseph, as a focal point who also has an eye for goal.
While he would be a useful addition to the squad, questions remain over whether he would adapt to the Premier League, if Leeds achieve promotion.
In 26 Premier League games, Sargent has managed just two goals, albeit at a younger age. However, if Leeds do go up, an option with more top-flight goals to his name may be a better signing as a first-choice centre-forward.
