The Minnesota Timberwolves got another fantastic win over fierce rivals, the Denver Nuggets. It was the Timberwolves' sixth straight win against the Nuggets dating back to their semi-final series in the 2024 Playoffs.
In their 2024-25 regular season matchups, Minnesota is the dominant side, which had two big blowouts. However, the Nuggets worked hard to win their fourth and final regular season matchup of the year, but the Timberwolves still got the close 140-139 win in double overtime.
The Timberwolves overcame one of the 24–25 season's best performances from Nikola Jokic. Denver's three-time MVP posted an absurd 61 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. Thankfully for Minnesota fans, Anthony Edwards also stood out with 34 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists.
It was one of the most competitive games of the season, and it received near-unanimous praise due to the entertaining and thrilling performances for the fans.

Everyone Stepped Up For The Timberwolves
This was not an easy game for the Timberwolves even if they have dominated the Nuggets over the past year. Minnesota was without two of their most crucial players, Naz Reid and Donte DiVincenzo, who were suspended after the brawl against the Pistons.
Someone had to step up and that was Nickeil Alexander-Walker, who posted a fantastic stat line of 26 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists. Josh Minott also stepped up in his 12 minutes, scoring 10 points and playing with high energy to set the tone for coach Chris Finch.

After the game, Edwards talked about how much he had fun in the game against Jokic and the Nuggets.
"That might've been the best game of my life, and I've been a part of. Nikola Jokic bruh, oh my God. He might be the best basketball player I've ever seen," Edwards said in the locker room. "Close up, besides myself. Bruh, he's incredible."
This was a game that the Timberwolves can be proud of the result due to their win despite a depleted lineup due to the suspensions. They proved they could beat a top team in the most dire of situations.
The Timberwolves Will Be Motivated For The Rest Of The Season
With this victory, the Timberwolves should be ecstatic to play more games. They are still hunting the sixth seed, which leads to an automatic Playoff berth.
With six games left in the regular season, the Timberwolves should be prepared to keep winning. They have a relatively easy schedule, but they must not be complacent.
With games against multiple bottom-dwellers like the Nets and Jazz, Minnesota could snatch the sixth seed away from the struggling Grizzlies.
