Arsenal’s pain could end up being either Manchester City’s or Liverpool’s gain this summer.
There has been an exciting update for Manchester City and Liverpool fans, but terrible news for Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta.
Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool have been the dominant forces in the Premier League over the past three seasons.
However, Pep Guardiola and his Man City players have endured an incredibly difficult 2024/25 campaign.
The Man City manager will be fully aware that his squad at The Etihad is in urgent need of attention.
Ederson has already made it clear that many of Man City’s best players are reaching the end of their cycle so to speak.

It has actually been claimed that Pep could allow up to eight Manchester City players to leave this summer.
Whilst many big names may be on their way from The Etihad in the summer window, there will undoubtedly be numerous star names making their way to the club.
And one potential new signing could come completely out of the blue.
Arsenal target Martin Zubimendi has choice between Manchester City and Liverpool
It seems like the Gunners have been dealt a truly major transfer blow.
That’s because Martin Zubimendi has a straight choice now between joining Man City or Liverpool in the summer, according to a report from Super Deporte.
That news will really hurt Arsenal, as it was claimed that the 26-year-old Spaniard will almost certainly be Emirates bound this summer.
When speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk Podcast, reporter Dharmesh Sheth explained how Zubimendi will almost definitely be an Arsenal player next season.

It has been suggested that Martin Zubimendi could be the perfect Rodri replacement at Manchester City.
And now the Spaniard moving to The Etihad could be a genuinely realistic prospect.
What Martin Zubimendi said when asked about Man City move
Everyone has seen just how reliant the current City team is on Rodri.
So the addition of someone with Zubimendi’s quality would be a major coup for Pep Guardiola.
He was asked back in October whether he would like to move to The Etihad.
And the Spain international gave little away, as quoted via Yahoo:
La Liga Stats Martin Zubimendi
Games played 28
Tackles per game 2.2
Interceptions per game 1.2
Passes per game 50
Clearances per game 2.1
Pass completion % 84.2%

“So far, I have thought that the best thing was to be at my club,” Zubimendi stated, clearly reaffirming his loyalty to Real Sociedad. “I am looking for my personal growth and I still have a lot to give to Real.”
However, a lot has changed over the past six months.
A move to the Premier League may well be impossible to turn down for the Real Sociedad star.
Surprisingly though, it now seems like Manchester City or Liverpool are more likely destinations for Martin Zubimendi than Arsenal.
