Launch of the CSL Community Impact Awards to support health initiatives across Australia

Melbourne, 2 April 2025 – Australian healthcare company CSL has launched the CSL Community Impact Awards, a new initiative designed to support not-for-profit community organisations focused on health in Australia.

The CSL Community Impact Awards, valued up to $35,000 AUD, aim to recognise and support health initiatives by providing financial grants and capacity-building opportunities.

“The CSL Community Impact Awards provide an opportunity for leaders to receive grants that will enable them to continue to expand their impact, ultimately benefiting their communities. We know first-hand the positive impact that many community organisations, such as patient and advocacy groups, have had on patients and public health. CSL is excited to support organisations like these, fast-track innovative health initiatives, and foster leadership development opportunities in the sector,” said Bernadette Murdoch, CSL’s Global Head of Reputation.

“For over a century, CSL has been committed to improving the lives of our patients and donors, and safeguarding public health. The CSL Community Impact Awards highlight our dedication to community health and our support of innovative health initiatives,” said Jeffrey Ball, Chief Sustainability Officer & SVP Enterprise EHS and Strategy Realization.

About the CSL Community Impact Awards

The CSL Community Impact Awards will offer:

Optional Capacity Building

Award recipients have the opportunity to receive a CSL scholarship, valued at $12,500, to participate in Melbourne Business School’s Emerging Social Purpose Leaders Program. This Program has been designed to equip NFP leaders who have little or no prior business management training, with the skills to lead their teams to generate social impact and financial sustainability for their organisation. Successful scholarship recipients will receive this with the requirement that they or their organisation cover $500 of the overall $13,000 fee for this Program.

Award recipients will also have the opportunity to receive mentoring from CSL leaders.

Financial Grant

Each selected charity (up to 6) will receive up to $35,000, depending on their grant application, to support their health initiatives.

Key Dates

Applications for the CSL Community Impact Awards are now open and close on Wednesday 30 April.
