Feyenoord will revive their interest in West Ham United’s Luis Guilherme as only a last-minute injury to Crysencio Summerville stopped them from getting him in the January transfer window.
That’s according to Voetbal International, [relayed by Soccer News](https://www.soccernews.nl/news/feyenoord-mikt-op-dubbeltransfer/), who provide their take on the Brazilian winger and Feyenoord.
They explain that Feyenoord are facing a busy summer as several of their key players seem destined to leave and the club are aiming for reinforcements anyway.
According to VI’s information, they still have Rômulo from Göztepe and Luis Guilherme from West Ham United on their list.
The former is a definite target, and the club are making moves to get him while the West Ham man is someone they are ‘hoping’ they can get as well.
VI say it was ‘striking’ that the club, particularly technical manager Mark Ruijl and general manager Dennis te Kloese wanted to loan him in January with an option to buy. That was a clear sign of their interest in the youngster, and they almost succeeded too.
The Dutch side see Guilherme as a player of the ‘highest category’, but a deal can only be done with West Ham if ‘everything goes well’.
That wasn’t the case in January when a last-minute injury to Summerville saw the option roll away from the Rotterdam team at that point. Feyenoord are ‘not giving up the fight’ though and intend to renew negotiations in the summer hoping for a more positive outcome.
