Harry Maguire has encapsulated the feeling of Reds fans in the aftermath of Manchester United losing 1-0 to Nottingham Forest.
Maguire came on as a late substitute for Leny Yoro at the City Ground to partner Rasmus Hojlund up front as United pushed for an equaliser. During his eight minutes on the pitch, three chances fell to the defender in added time.

The first saw Maguire head wide from a Patrick Dorgu cross before the defender was denied twice in the final minute. Noussair Mazraoui picked out his fellow defender in the penalty area, but Nicolas Dominguez blocked the shot.

Maguire, though, managed to corral the rebound and get off another effort that, this time, made it past Dominguez and evaded the dive of goalkeeper Matz Sels. Murillo, however, was on hand to clear the ball off the line and deny Maguire again.
Across those three attempts, the makeshift striker reputedly accumulated more expected goals than Hojlund has in his last 15 appearances.
It was almost a dream return for Maguire, who played for the first time in nearly a month. The defender sustained a calf problem during the FA Cup fifth-round tie against Fulham, being replaced by Ayden Heaven as extra-time began at Old Trafford.
That injury prevented him from playing in either leg of the Europa League round of 16 tie against Real Sociedad or last month's Premier League matches against Arsenal and his former club Leicester City.
Maguire, however, returned to training at Carrington last week alongside Luke Shaw. He then made an impactful cameo after replacing the latter in the East Midlands.
"Happy to be back," Maguire said in a post on his Instagram story before acknowledging, "but frustrated with the result.
"Thanks for your support, see you all Sunday reds," punctuating the caption with a flexed biceps emoji.
