Eintracht Frankfurt are expecting the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United to move for Hugo Ekitiké after the Club World Cup.
That’s [according to SportBILD](https://sportbild.bild.de/), who report that the German club are demanding at least €80m for the Frenchman thanks to his form this season.
Ekitiké is next in line to leave the club after Omar Marmoush’s big move to Manchester City in the January transfer window and Frankfurt are more than aware of the growing interest in him.
They want €80m if the striker is to leave but know there is a distinct possibility of that happening as Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and the two Milan clubs all want new strikers this summer.
Bayern Munich are also eyeing him as an alternative to Harry Kane and there’s even a chance Newcastle United get involved if Alexander Isak departs.
The striker market is likely to be fierce this summer because of that and Frankfurt want to take advantage if the clubs come calling for Ekitiké. They’ve already planned for his departure and have a replacement in mind but believe the ‘poker game’ for him will only gain momentum after the Club World Cup.
That’s largely due to the fact that the transfer fee will be so high, and clubs will take their time on such a deal. That includes the Premier League trio of Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United. If they get an offer of €80m, though, he will be on his way.
They don’t want that to happen, and the German club are doing everything they can to ensure Ekitiké stays for another year, believing he would benefit from further development with them.
Money is king, though, and if any of the interested parties offer up the big sum, they want a transfer will be done, although the race may not pick up pace until the Club World Cup is done with midway through July.
