“He is not interested” – Agent insists player is ignoring Liverpool and Manchester City transfer rumours

Juventus full-back Andrea Cambiaso is not interested in the rumours linking him to Liverpool and Manchester City this summer.

That’s according to his agent Giovanni Bia, who [has been speaking to Tuttomercatoweb](https://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/serie-a/cambiaso-nel-mirino-di-city-e-liverpool-l-agente-sogna-una-grande-carriera-alla-juventus-2086988) about the 25-year-old and his future plans.

Cambiaso has been earning rave reviews for his performances for Juventus this season, with two goals and three assists in 35 games in all competitions to date.

Manchester City were heavily linked throughout the January transfer window, with reports that the Italian full-back was the number one target for Pep Guardiola as he wants a new left-back for his squad.

They’ve continued to be linked as a big summer renovation awaits at the Etihad, while Liverpool have been brought into the mix over the last two weeks.

A report on the 24th of March insisted that they were particularly interested in the defender while one two days later said they were something of a ‘loose cannon’ and could provide danger to Manchester City’s hopes of getting him.

Liverpool are likely to be linked again in the coming months, particularly with it clear that they intend to find a long-term replacement for Andy Robertson and with Trent Alexander-Arnold seemingly on his way to Real Madrid.

Bia, though, wants to dampen down any reports and insists his client is solely focused on Juventus.

“He is absolutely focused on Juventus,” he said.

“It is normal that there are these sirens being one of the strongest full backs in Europe. There are a few movements around, for example Alexander Arnold seems like he could go to Real Madrid but in general there are various situations that could change.

“At the moment he is not interested in anything, his goal is Juventus and to do very well there. He is absolutely happy at Juventus; he has always said it in a thousand ways and in a thousand places.

“His dream is to bring Juventus back to great levels, to play for Juventus and to have a great career at Juventus, helping the club to return to winning ways on a par with the European big clubs. But I have no doubt that within one or two years he will do it.”
